Bible Study Fellowship (also known as BSF) is an international Christian interdenominational or parachurch community of lay people that offers a structured biblical study system. It was founded in 1959 by Audrey Wetherell Johnson, a British evangelist in China. Bible Study, which celebrates its 26th year on the Internet, is a 100% independent Christian outreach program dedicated to creating and publishing materials that spread the gospel and promote the precious truth of God's word. We have found that those who highly value the Bible and its teaching are attracted to biblical teaching, although sometimes it may differ from what they have been taught before.
A wide variety of Bible translations, commentaries, lexicons, dictionaries, encyclopedias and other reference works are consulted in the production of the content of the site. However, other translations are consulted and cited, such as King James Version, New International Version, The Living Bible and several others, where appropriate. The quotations of the Bible are mainly taken from the Holy Bible in its original order: a faithful version (HBFV) due to its integrity in the translation of the text into the original language.
